Epaminondas "Eppie" Kouletsis passed away the Epoch Senior Healthcare Center in Melrose on Thursday, December 13, 2012. He was 86 years of age. Mr. Kouletsis was born and raised in Cambridge, graduated from Latin High school and has been a lifelong resident of Cambridge. He worked as a grocer for Star Market for over 30 years and for Ideal Grocery in Cambridge for 15 years. Eppie enjoyed traveling and spending time with his family. He was a past president of the board of trustees at the St. Constantine & Helen Greek Orthodox Church, was a member of the Greek American Political Club and the Messinian Society from Greece. Epaminondas was the beloved husband of Aphrodite (Manos) Kouletsis. Loving father of Andrea Sakellaris & her husband James of Melrose and James Kouletsis & his wife Martha of Milford, NH. Grandfather of Cassandra Kouletsis of NH. Brother of Costas Kouletsis of Woburn, Calliope Paicos of Somerville and the late George Koulet. Godfather of Joanne Sintiris & John Janakos. Also survived by several nieces & nephews. Visiting hours will be held at the St. Constantine & Helen Greek Orthodox Church, 14 Magazine St. Cambridge on Saturday, December 15th from 10:30AM-12:00PM, followed by a funeral service at 12PM. Burial at Cambridge Cemetery in Cambridge following the service. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Constantine & Helen Greek Orthodox Church, 14 Magazine St. Cambridge, MA 02139.
