Arthur R. Puopolo, Sr, of Saugus, died at the Melrose Wakefield Hospital on Nov. 28, 2012 at the age of 77. Arthur was born & raised in East Boston and attended East Boston Schools. He worked in Maintenance for Avco Reasearch Labs in Everett for many years before his retirement at the age of 65. Arthur resided in East Boston until the age of 21, Everett until 1990 and Saugus for the past 22 years. He was a very well respected, "A Great Guy" and loved by all. Arthur was the beloved husband of Loretta (Rotondo) Puopolo for 56 years. Loving father of Philip A. Puopolo of NH, Mark J. Puopolo & his wife Christine of Dracut and Arthur "Ross" Puopolo Jr. of Saugus. Cherished grandfather of Mitchell, Nicholas, Jason and Christopher. Devoted brother of the late Joseph Puopolo. Funeral from the Gately Funeral Home 79 W. Foster St., Melrose on Monday, Dec. 3rd at 10AM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Margaret's Church 431 Lincoln Ave., Saugus at 11:15AM. Relatives & friends respectfully invited. Visiting hours on Sunday from 2-6PM. Burial in Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden.
