Robert J. "Bob" Sullivan, of Manchester, NH, formerly of Lawrence & Melrose, passed away on December 16, 2016 at the age of 56, after a short illness. Bob was born in Medford on June 15, 1960 to the late John A. & Dorothy A. (Randall) Sullivan. He was raised in Melrose and graduated from Melrose High School in 1978. Bob was a proud member of the North Star Drum & Bugle Corp., and was an original member of the Chrome Wall Drum Line. Bob was a talented musician who always had a passion for playing the drums, the piano, and just about any other instrument he could get his hands on. Bob was the loving companion of Janice DeFronzo of Manchester, NH. Caring brother of John T. Sullivan & his wife Kamariah of San Francisco, CA, Joan M. Feeley & her husband Thomas of Andover, William F. Sullivan & his wife Karen of MI, Barbara J. Nicholson & her husband Clifford of N. Billerica, Maryann Sullivan of Brookline, James E. Sullivan & his wife Candice of Dover, Thomas M. Sullivan & his wife Rebecca of Melrose, and the late David R. Sullivan. Brother-in-law of Rose Sullivan of Haverhill. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends. Visiting Hours will be held on Monday, Dec. 19, 2016 from 5:00-8:00 PM at the Gately Funeral Home, 79 W. Foster St., Melrose, MA. Funeral from the Gately Funeral Home on Tuesday, Dec. 20, 2016 at 9:00 AM, followed by a 10:00 AM Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary's Church, Herbert St. Melrose. Relatives & friends are respectfully invited to attend. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Jimmy Fund/Dana Farber, P.O. Box 849168, Boston, MA 02284-9168. .
