Ralph M. Crovo passed away at his home in Melrose on December 25, 2018 surrounded by his loving family. He was 95 years of age. Ralph served in the US Marine Corps during WWII and was wounded in Okinawa. Ralph was a longtime resident of Melrose. He was the beloved husband of 56 years to the late Lorraine O. (O'Neil) Crovo. Loving father of Kevin Crovo & his wife Leslie of Melrose, Paul Crovo of Malden, Joyce Kerrigan & her husband Eugene of Boston, Stephen Crovo & his wife Lisa of Melrose, Nancy Brodeur & her husband Norman of Bedford, NH, Karen Cann & her husband Brian of Stoneham and Brian Crovo & his wife Kristen of Melrose. Devoted grandfather of Allison, Marc, Gregory, Jennifer, Caitlin, Christopher, Brendon, Rachel, Michael, Stephanie, Victoria, Lauren, Sean, Caroline, Andrew, Brandon, Patrick, Connor, Liam, Emily & Paige. Proud great grandfather of Gannon, Ellie, Easton, Maeve & Brighton. Also survived by several extended family members Sonny, Jean, Jessie & Alec Atienza and several nieces & nephews. Visitation will be held at the Gately Funeral Home, 79 W. Foster St. Melrose, on Sunday December 30, 2018 from 2:00-5:00PM. Funeral procession from Gately Funeral Home on Monday, December 31, 2018 at 9:00AM. Followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Incarnation Church, 425 Upham St. Melrose at 10:00AM. Interment with military honors at Wyoming Cemetery in Melrose. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Catholic Charities of Boston, 275 West Broadway, Boston, MA 02127.
