Norah M. (O'Regan) Woods, of Malden, passed away at the Genesis at Glenridge Nursing Center in Medford on July 12, 2018 at the age of 76. Norah was born & raised in Somerville and a graduate of St. Joseph's High School, Class of 1960. She worked as a Secretary for the Hyatt Regency in Cambridge for over 20 before her retirement in 2003. Norah was a member of St. Joseph's Parish in Somerville & the Immaculate Conception Church in Malden for many years and she enjoyed spending time at Castle Island in S. Boston. Norah's family was the most important part of her life. She was the loving mother of Laura A. Woods of Malden. Cherished grandmother of Evan C. Woods and Emmalyn C. Woods of Malden. Caring sister of Julia O'Regan, Catherine Cahill, both from ME, Cornelius O'Regan of Somerville, Michael O'Regan of Burlington, Dennis O'Regan of NH, James O'Regan of Somerville, Robert O'Regan of Manchester by the Sea and the late John, Hannah, Thomas, Jeremiah, Charles & Mary O'Regan. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins & friends. Visiting hours will be held at the Gately Funeral Home, 79 W. Foster St., Melrose on Tuesday, July 17th from 4-7PM. Procession from the Gately Funeral Home on Wednesday, July 18th at 8:30AM, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Joseph's Church, 770 Salem St., Malden at 10AM. Relatives & friends respectfully invited to attend. Burial in Cambridge Cemetery, Cambridge. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Maplewood Baptist Church, Christian Education Fund, 729 Salem St., Malden, MA 02148.
