Kathleen A. Berner of Melrose, died on November 10, 2019, at the age 55. Kathleen was raised in Melrose, graduated from Melrose High School, Class of 1982. Kathleen was a lifelong Melrose resident. Miss Berner was a longtime waitress working at the Hilltop Restaurant in Saugus, Turner's Seafood in Melrose for over 5 years and at the Burlington Legal Seafood Restaurant for over 15 years. She will be dearly missed by all her family members, coworkers and friends. She enjoyed going out to local restaurants, going to Nahant Beach and taking walks around Horne Pond in Woburn. Kathleen loved spending time with her niece, nephew, family members and friends. She will always be remembered for her sense of humor and infectious smile. Kathleen was the beloved daughter of the late Ed & Jean (Nagle) Berner. Loving sister of Suzanne Berner of Chelsea, Lisa Larcom & her husband Michael of Danvers and the late Deborah J. Berner. Caring aunt of Jonathan & Natalie Larcom. Cherished companion of Keith Bachelor. Visitation will be held at the Gately Funeral Home, 79 W. Foster St. Melrose on Sunday, November 17, 2019 from 2:00-5:00PM, followed by a funeral service at 5:00PM. Relatives & friends are respectfully invited to attend. Interment at Wyoming Cemetery in Melrose will be private.
