Donna Susan (Dary) Cogan born on Oct 1, 1940 in Merdian, Connecticut. Donna was a lifelong resident of Melrose, Ma. Donna passed away peacefully at Courtyard Nursing Care Center on Thursday April 23, 2020. Donna was predeceased by her husband Donald Cogan. She is survived by her three children, Laura and James Boyden of Hampton NH, Denise and Eric Belliveau of Tewksbury, Ma and Donald and Katie Bellandi of Melrose, Mass. As well as 4 grandchildren Danielle Nichols, Erica Belliveau, Tyler and Ashley Bellandi and her 3 great grandchildren, Hailey, Jackson and Jayce Nichols.

Donna is also survived by her 2 brothers James and Sandra Dary of Hampton NH, Alan Dary of Seabrook, NH, and 2 sisters Sue and Warren Wirtanen of Wentzville, Missouri and Toni and Bruce Kenna of Manchester, NH. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Donna was a homemaker throughout her life. Donna was an avid reader, and had a great capacity for writing as well. Earlier in her life she had written a series of children's books entitled the Adventures of Vegetable Village. Though she chose never to publish, they expressed her great creativity and use of prose to enthrall children.

She loved the Victorian era both architecture and style and loved to decorate her homes accordingly. She had a love for antiques and decorating other client's homes as well.

Donna's health had been deteriorating over the last few years and she passed away from complications of the Covid 19 virus. Her children were extremely saddened not to be by her side.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Donnas name to the American Heart Association 300 5th Ave, Waltham, MA 02451, or the MSPCA, 350 South Huntington Avenue
