Donna R. (Wedge) Murray, of Malden, died at the Massachusetts General Hospital on Feb. 22, 2017 at the age of 63. Donna was born & raised in Somerville and moved to Malden at the age of 12. She was a graduate of Malden High School, Class of 1972 and resided in Malden for the past 51 years. Donna worked as an Administrative Assistant for the Registry of Motor Vehicles for over 30 years before her retirement. She was a very hard worker and enjoyed cooking & shopping. Donna loved to coordinate and plan family functions and holiday parties. She was the "best mother you could ask for" and was always there for everyone. Donna was the beloved wife of Paul F. Murray for over 40 years. Loving mother of Paul R. Murray of Malden and Kimberly J. Murray of FL. Caring daughter of the late Robert & Joan (Stevens) Wedge. Cherished grandmother of Ashlyn, Sydney, John David, Maiselie and Leland. Great grandmother of Daisy Mae. Devoted sister of Sharon Brancato & her husband Joseph of Newburyport, Robert G. Wedge & his wife Sharon of Everett and the late Stephen R. Wedge. Also survived by several nieces & nephews. A Celebration of life will be held at the Gately Funeral Home, 79 W. Foster St., Melrose on Saturday, March 4th at 10AM. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the charity of your choice.
