Arthur S. Jodrey, of Largo, FL, formerly of Melrose and Chelmsford, died at his home in Largo, FL on Oct. 28, 2018 at the age of 84. Arthur was born & raised in Everett and a graduate of Everett Vocational High School. In his younger years, Arthur worked as a Machinist for the Standard Duplicator Co. in Everett. He resided in Melrose for 40 years, Chelmsford for several years and Florida since 2002. Arthur worked as a Custodian for the Melrose High School and Melrose City Hall for many years before his retirement. He was a member of the Melrose Elks Club and enjoyed fishing, bingo, watching sports and the Boston Red Sox. Arthur was the beloved husband of the late Gertrude M. (Leuci) Jodrey. Loving father of Charles W. Jodrey, Arthur W. Jodrey & his wife Kathleen, all of FL, Peter W. Jodrey of NH, Anna Maria Ross & her husband Richard of Haverhill and the late Michele R. Paone & her husband Vincent of Melrose. Cherished grandfather of Dylan, Derek, Nichole, Paul, Andrea and Theresa. Predeceased by 9 siblings. Also survived by nieces, nephews, relatives & friends. Visiting hours will be held at the Gately Funeral Home, 79 W. Foster St., Melrose on Thursday, Nov. 8th from 4-8PM. A Funeral Service will be held at the Gately Funeral Home on Friday, Nov. 9th at 10:00AM. Relatives & friends respectfully invited to attend. Burial in Wyoming Cemetery, Melrose. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 02472
