Condolence & Memory Journal

Dear Jan, Charlie & Billy,
My most heartfelt sympathy on the passing of your wonderful Mom. I used to love to run into her when she was out and about on one of her walks. She is one of the most gracious ladies I have ever met and has always been one of my favorite neighborhood Moms. I have very lovely memories of her. Please treasure your memories of her as you grieve her passing.

Hugs and blessings to you all.

Devoted Christian, Mother, wife , grandmother, and my friend. My fondest memory of Joanne was walking the Freedom trail with her in April, 1985. She was a native Bostonian who, for some unknown reason, could NOT find the start of the Freedom Trail at the Boston Commons !! LOL So after running around frantically, marveling at the swan boats and "Making way for Ducklings," we just started walking towards the hill that she thought led to Paul Revere's house. Suddenly she exclaimed " This is it !" and from there she knew her way....all the way to the Old North Church. Once home, and Guy knew of the difficulty we had finding the start of the trail, he let her know this was not normal behavior for a native Bostonian.

On a visit to Boston several years later, I discovered that SIGNS were posted and maps printed and available at the Visitors Center to help one find the official start of the trail. Guess we bypassed the center that day, right???

Joanne - you will RIP in my heart and memory forever. Love to all.

Dear Janice, Charles and Bill,
I am so very sorry to hear of your Mom's passing. I was with my Mom, Zena, the other day when the news arrived. Mom was very sad to hear of the loss of one of her oldest and dearest friends. As you may recall, your Mom was my Mom's Maid of Honor in 1950, and was also my dear Godmother. I have very fond memories of us kids playing together while our parents visited at your home in Melrose. Haven't we all been so fortunate to have had such wonderful parents! Cherish the memories and know that you are in my thoughts and in my prayers.
May she rest in peace.
Sincerely,
Eddie Merullo
