Tribute & Message From The Family

Message From The Family

Thank you for your support during this difficult time. Please enhance this tribute to Mary by adding your memories and photos.

Mary T. (Sullivan) Ledoux of Melrose, died at Glenridge Nursing Home on March 11, 2020. She was 91 years of age. Mary was born and raised in Melrose, graduated from St. Mary's Grammar School and St. Mary's High School. She was a lifelong resident of Melrose and a lifelong parishioner at St. Mary's Church as well as a member of the St. Mary's Ladies Sodality.

Mary worked for MA Bell Telephone Company right out of high school, and then she married and raised her six children. She and her husband Raymond traveled the world while he was in the military and then settled back down in Melrose for the remainder of the lives. After raising her family Mary went back to work and was longtime teller at Middlesex Baybank in Melrose for many years. Above all Mary was devoted to her children and grandchildren and cherished all the times spent with her family.

Mary was the beloved wife of the late Raymond G. Ledoux. Loving mother of Mark R. Ledoux & his wife Dorothy of Utah, Julie M. O'Hara & her husband James of Pembroke, Catherine M. McCarthy of Melrose, Maura K. Goodhue & her husband Frank of Windham, NH and the late Susan M. Ledoux and the late Daniel J. Ledoux. Cherished sister of the late Thomas Sullivan, John Sullivan & Katie Christopher. Also survived by 9 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, relatives & friends.

Due to the recent health concerns and the directive from the Arch Diocese of Boston regarding funeral masses, visitation and the Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary's Church as well as the interment in Wyoming Cemetery, Melrose will be private. Memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Association, 309 Waverly Oaks Rd., Waltham, MA 02452. Please feel free to send a card to family members, drop a card at the funeral home for the family or send a message of online condolence.

I am so sorry to hear about the passing of Mrs. Ledoux. I will always remember how sweet Mrs. Ledoux was. I had her for CCD when I was in Elementary School and remember seeing her and her sister every week at the 7:30 mass at Saint Mary's.
