We lived in Melrose almost 30 years and knew Jack and Marion well, we belonged to Incarnation church and our children knew the Wise family and have fond memories of Deacon Wise. I worked with Marion at OSI in Melrose for almost 10 years and have fond memories of the times we shared there. , They are a wonderful family and we missed them when they left Melrose. I hope Marion is doing well and we all know Jack is with our heavenly father. Carol & Ed Taber

I am so sorry to hear of Jack's passing. He was truly one of the best. Jack was always positive, always smiling. The world is a better place because he was in it. People like Jack are few and far between and in the Church they are almost impossible to find. Jack did not just preach the faith, he lived the faith. Believe me this is a rarity in the Church today. He will be missed by many. My prayers go out to his family. Nancy Melanson

So sorry to hear about Deacon Jack. I recently retired after 45 years as a free-lance licensed funeral director for several funeral homes. I frequently saw him when I was honored to work at the Gately Funeral Home, a place I know he enjoyed to visit, and all of us on the staff there felt the same toward him. He was amongst the best of the many clergy I've ever met through those years. Deacon Jack was a down-to-earth common sense man, whose sincerity and gentle guidance helped so many families he assisted to begin the process of grieving. He was a man of integrity and compassion, and he will be missed by many people, including me. I just prayed for him while walking on the beach here at a beautiful red-sky sunset by the Pompano Pier.

My sincere sympathy to his family.

To all the Wises,

Our prayers and heartfelt condolences to you all on the loss of your husband, father, grandfather and my family friend Mr. Wise. It has been a pleasure and joy knowing him for the past 45 years. So many in the community will mourn his loss as he dedicated much time to the church. I am fortunate to say that he married me and baptized my son. I have many childhood memories of Mr. Wise that I will always cherish. He was an extraordinary man and will be forever missed.
Our sympathy and thoughts are with you all.
