Condolence & Memory Journal

To the Carney Family, I am deeply sadden too hear and read of my dear friend, Herb's passing. I had the GREAT PLEASURE, of working with your Husband, Father, Grandfather, for many years at POLAROID, Norwood. I considered Herb, one of my many Mentors, as I was coming up through the ranks at Polaroid. His wisdom, advise, and overall knowledge, was always solid, and saved my neck many times.
I feel extremely fortunate too have had Herb in my work life, at POLAROID, Please accept my Condolences, and I will include all of your family in my Prayers at church tomorrow. Herb, thank you for all of your knowledge that you passed on too, me in my working career. GOD BLESS YOU HERB, i will miss your smiling face.

All of the Horgans send their sincere sympathy and love. Mr. Carney was a dear friend to our father and family. We thoroughly enjoyed his sharing of memories and stories of South Boston, the Strandways and our Dad. May he rest in peace. He will surely be greeted warmly by many of his fellow Strandways in Heaven.

You will be terribly missed. We loved hearing your stories about you and my dad. My parents treasured your and Alice's friendship. Rest in peace, Mr. Carney.

I am so sorry for your loss. Uncle Herb was a great man, I always looked forward to talking to him at family gatherings. He and the family are in my thoughts.

Alice, Kevin, Brian and Tom
Its hard to explain the loss we feel, Herb was always part of the Feeley family, I especially enjoyed talking to Herb about sports and of course trying to come up with a hard sports trivia questions to test memories. Last fall my Patrick was at the condo in Wakefield and he told me after how good a time he had talking to Herb and Alice about the Family history. The fun times down Uncle Tom's in Marshfield (Herb taught us how to play Pepper and the Carney boys and I played it for hours). The July 4th's in Burlington also are a great memory "I can swim under water 4 lengths of the pool without a breath" and the whiffle ball games in the Burlington yard.
