I had the distinct pleasure and honor of working with Al at Boston University for almost 10 years - and I will always have the fondest of memories of our time together. Al was one of the most kind and gentle individuals, always looking out for the best interest of our students and our co-workers. Al will be missed by many. Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with the Petrola family and friends during this difficult time. Rest in Peace, my friend - With love, Woodrow

It was sad to hear that you passed away, my condolences to the family.
We had a lot of good times in work it was a pleasure knowing you you will never be forgotten you were a fun person you took a lot of jokes from me but all ways took it in stride and kept your cool. You thought me a lot about the work that you did and I thought you some to.

The loss of a great man is never easy. My deepest condolences to Al's children, family and Ann. Al was such a huge part of our lives and the best friend my father ever could have asked for. Through good times and bad , Al was always there. I will think of him often and remember what a kind, loving and giving man he was. I am grateful to have had him in my life and will miss him immensely. Rest In Peace and give the big guy a hug for me. With Love Helen

Please accept my sincerest condolences for your loss. My late husband, Dick Falcon, worked with Al at BU's Physical Plant for just 10 short years, and they became good friends in addition to close colleagues. When I would go to meet my husband at their office, Al would always see me and say, "I've gotta get home and start the pasta"! Dick and I shared several social outings with Al and Gerry, Jerry and Diane Wall and Ray and Mary
