Life has many joys and unfortunately there are shocks as well. Today, we were shocked when we learned of Janice's death. As with Janice, we grew up in Everett and graduated from Everett High School with Janice and although the years have passed and the connection has not been active, Janice's passing hurts and is heartfelt. I have known Janice since Lafayette elementary school. She and her family lived in our neighborhood. Although she was a few years younger than me, I always admired how she was so polite, well behaved, pretty and courteous to all others. I also remember when she was a cheerleader for Everett High School. She did a great job.

I've known Janice for more than twenty years through Winchester Pediatrics. She was always so kind and compassionate, with a ready smile to ease the nerves of a frightened child. She was a joy to know. My sympathies to her family and friends.
